What can I say, we currently use Telstra and want to move offices. There are great plans if you are not a Telstra Customer, but if you are you cant get them.
So as a new customer to telstra i can get the plan for $120 a month, but as an existing customer to Telstra I cant, I have to pay $180 a month for broadband services. Sounds like a great deal.....

Isn't that crazy? It's the same with Austar - they are constantly advertising great deasl for new customers to join up, but existing customers get nothing! Wouldn't you think both would be doing all they can to keep existing customers?

HI, ask them to disconnect your service! They automatically put you through to a salvage team that tries to keep your business rather than loose you as a customer. I have been offered better deals from both Telstar and Optus as a result of this. You can do this with any credit card companies too if you have a $0 balance as they usually offer a cheaper interest rate.
Cheers,
Sharon

Same, I rang to have Austar disconnected (told them Austar was no longer in the budget) and they basically asked what I could afford and gave me my current package $20 cheaper per month... you need to play their game!
