| My fiance recently booked 2 flights from Brisbane to Sydney for August to watch the All Blacks play. Not sure who would be going, he booked both flights in his name after being told he could change the name on the booking once final decisions were made. He called Virgin Blue this morning to change the name on one of the flights from his name to mine. He was told he was unable to change the name, pay for an upgrade or cancel his booking. When querying the customer service lady (who was not really offering very much customer service) as to why he could not change the name she had no answer, he was told that 'fatter' people (in the Virgin Blue ladies own words) often book themselves 2 seats so they can fit in. When hubby to be asked to speak to the manager he was told, not too politely that calls were unable to be transfered to the manager. So now we are stuck with 2 tickets in his name, with me not able to travel and no way to cancel, get a credit or upgrade our seats. Ironically I was only looking yesterday at flights to LA and London with Virgin Atlantic. Safe to say they have lost themselves that booking. Very frusturating | | | |

| | That's no good. You should call back and tell them he accidently booked two seats in his name instead of one for each of you. | | | |

| | I just stumbled upon this site today. Very timely as I had just booked for the first time time a flight for a friend through Virgin Blue. After reading your blog, I thought I better go back to the on-line site and check that the ticket was in HER name and not MINE. Thankfully, it was in hers. | | | |

| | Wow - that's no good! Follow it up and make a big fuss - no-one likes bad publicity especially as your fiance was given misinformation! Good luck with it. I just booked tickets to the All Blacks V Wallabies Game in Melbourne for my hubby (he's a Kiwi so just a BIT excited). | | | |
