My daughter spilt a full bottle of bright blue nail polish on a friends beige carpet on sunday night.Not enough nail polish remover in the house. But It washed off her hands with soap as it was still wet, so we smothered the carpet with soap and scrubed for about half an hour, got it of the top of the carpet but left a blue colour in the carpet.
monday luchtime I head out to have another go armed with everthing I could think of including the windex like the internet said, called past a supermarket and brought Preen vanish for carpets, the windex sort of helped but the preen did a fantastic job and removed 99% of the stain only leaving a very faint tinge that you wouldn't see if you didn't know it was there. I only used a quater of the bottle and cleaned an area about a metre round.

Sounds great, but I swear by Stain-Go. I bought a few large bottles after watching a demo at the markets. It works a treat, and gets everything out!
