| | This little creation is a god send with a messy toddler in the house, it takes just about anything off from crayon to wine to coffee to texta. Just gotta have it. | | | |

| | Just be really careful with these, don't let your kids near them as they actually cause really severe burns to kids skin, I have seen pictures and it is not pretty!! | | | |

| | I've used the Magic eraser too. Its just like a special piece of foam, quite harmless really. You simply use it when damp and clean up whatever mess it is that you have. I've never heard of anyone being burnt with them before. | | | |

| Well I can assure they have, the pics I saw were of a little boy who had seen his mum rubbing it on the walls and then he got hold of it and was rubbing it on his body, he had burns all over his face, arms, legs etc. Sorry I take great offence that you say they are quite harmless really and you have never heard of anyone being burnt by them before, it sounds like you think I am making it up. These pics that I saw were not the only one that I had heard of that had this problem. They probably are quite harmless to an adults skin when you are only holding it with 2 fingers anyway, but on a childs sensitive skin they are dangerous. Just wanted to warn people to keep them away from their kids!! | | | |

| | I also think these are fabulous. Great for getting texta off tables and scuff marks off walls, also made my stainless steel kettle all shiny again. My mum also uses one in her spa once a month to get the ring off the side of the spa from the water. I just love them. | | | |

| flindy1: Sorry that I upset you so much. I didn't mean to insinuate that you had made it up, I thought that prehaps you were talking about a different product with a similar name. Next time I have an opinion about something prehaps I'll just keep it to myself. | | | |

| | Hi Sharonf sorry that you feel you should keep your opinions to yourself, I didn't mean to make you feel that way, all I was trying to do was let people know what this magic eraser can cause so that it doesn't happen to anyone else. I wish I still had the pics so that I could show you somehow, I can see how people think that it is just a harmless piece of sponge and I just felt that I wasnt taken seriously about it that's all. Maybe the child in question had ultra sensitive skin but who knows, I would just hate to see it happen to others. Truce?? | | | |

| Sorry to get here and heat up the debate but you need to be careful about making assurances that something has happened just because you saw it on the internet. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong here but there is a big chance this is an urban legend. See the website below for more info. You can google "magic eraser burn" for more info.

| | I never said that I saw it on the internet, it was an actual case so I don't need to be careful about making assurances, but that is fine everyone is free to make up their own minds about it. I am not the sort of person that believes all those types of emails that come through, I base what I say on fact. | | | |

| | I use these and find them great, but have often wondered what it was in the foam to make them work so well My 2 year old decorated my passsage and her bedroom wall with blue crayon and it took it all off. | | | |

| These are a godsend!
In regards to the child with burn marks though as with all cleaning products its best to keep them away from your children. | | | |

| | Sounds like a great product to have, although I painted my house with washable paint, so everything comes off anyway! Anyone know of any other good uses? | | | |

| | I found a trial size of this product in my laundy cupboard (don't know how it got there!). Anyway I tried it out and it worked fabulously on a few stubborn scuff marks on my kitchen floor. However as I said it was a trial size and it wore away very quickly. I was impressed enough to go out and buy another. No marks left anywhere in my kitchen!!! its just great! I don't think I'll have a problem with my 10yr old wanting to eat it or burn himself though. I would be very wary though if I had little ones about. Anyway, to all interested,I'm going to go around the house room by room and find and remove all sorts of marks I'd probably never noticed before....well one day! | | | |

| Just be careful of these. I admit I use them all over the house and they are wonderful, however, they actually take the top layer of paint off your walls to remove the marks. If you have anything really hard to remove and scrub with the magic eraser you''ll find that some of the paint has come off too. | | | |
