i often wonder about these repellant bands that you can wear around your wrist etc whether or not they really work and whether they have side effects

I brought patches at kmart the other day but haven't tried them yet they go on your clothes. My kids are really sensitive to bites and swell and my youngest actually had blisters form on 3 bites last week.

I had not heard of repellant bands before. We use a product called OFF. but on very rare occasions. We have, near the back door and plant called Cinnamin Geranium. If you rub a leaf on your ars or legs it smell like Pyrithium which is a natural thing. But this plant also seams to keep the mozzies away from the back door. I haven't had to spray inside the house for years. Maybe you could check this out.
