  1. What is Vibe Village?

    Vibe Village is a social community that shares opinions and information on products and services in an honest, open and unforced way. Through the Village, you get access to great information on things that interest you. You are the first to know about new products, services and events on the market. We give you products for free, and, if you choose to, you can even run your own Vibe Party. Paying companies engage Vibe Village to find out what you think about many aspects of their plans (such as new product ideas that they might be developing) and also help spread the word on existing products.

  3. What do I need to do to participate in Vibe Village to have my voice heard

    Being involved in Vibe Village and making your voice count is easy: 
    • First, take a look around the site and see what programs interest you
    • Second, join up to Vibe Village by registering with us. It only takes a couple of minutes
    • Third, choose a specific program that you would like to participate in and then complete its specific program registration (This is usually a short survey for you to complete). You can participate in Vibe Village as a Vibe Agent or as a Vibe Host or even both!
    • Finally, we’ll let you know if you’ve been successful in becoming a Vibe Agent or a Vibe Host for the specific program you registered for.

  1. What is a Vibe Agent?

    Being a Vibe Agent is simply sharing information, thoughts and opinions with people around you in an open and honest way - like you do all the time with your friends and family.

  2. Are there any rules that I have to follow if I become a Vibe Agent?

    We don't have many rules but here are a couple of really important ones:
    1. Always tell the people you are sharing stuff with that you are a Vibe Village Vibe Agent. Vibe Agents are not trying to convince people of anything, rather they are trying to help others with information they possess, IF and WHEN it is appropriate.
    2. Share whatever you feel about the products and services, both the positives and the negatives

  3. Why should I become a Vibe Agent? What's in it for me?

    Be the first to GET the scoop on new and unreleased products and services in the market. GET your own Vibe Pack with FREE samples.

    Be the first to SHARE all your FREE brand samples with your friends. SHARE what you think with others and hear what they've got to say.

    Be the first to SHAPE the future of your favourite brands by giving your feedback. To help SHAPE product design, have your voice heard to see the difference.

  4. Will I ever receive cash for participating in a Vibe Program?

    No. We do not want "paid for" comments since this could compromise the integrity of the word of mouth message. You may be able to win cash as part of a promotion from time to time.

  5. How does a Vibe Agent spread the word?

    Here at Vibe Village we work with a number of large organisations that are interested in hearing what you have to say about their products. They also know that the most powerful way to communicate the benefits of their products or services is through people like you who have experienced them. Here's how it works:
    • Complete a Program Survey: this allows Vibe Village to match Agents with products. Sometimes, you will not be invited to participate in the program you have enrolled in because there are limited spots available or there are other Agents with a higher interest match with the product program.
    • Receive and Try: you will be sent a sample of the product or more information about the service for you to experience.
    • Share the VIBE: When the opportunity arises you share with your friends your thoughts and feelings on the product or service.
    • Report the VIBE: You need to report back to the Village so that your feedback can be passed on to our clients and we can constantly improve VIBE Programs and how they are run. You also gain greater status in the Community, entry into monthly promotions and greater privileges and rewards with the more reports you submit.

  6. Who is eligible to be a Vibe Agent?

    You must be an Australian or New Zealand resident and 14 years of age or older. If you are under 18 years of age we will need parental consent via email. On the join screen, a parental email address will be requested from you if your date of birth indicates that you are under the age of 16, your parent or legal guardian will need to confirm their consent allowing you to join.

  7. What kind of person makes a good Vibe Agent?

    People from all walks of life - students to trades people to grandparents. You do need to be
    • passionate about certain interests in your life. You will be enthusiastic about spreading your honest, unforced thoughts with others and seeking information from like-minded people.
    • You might also be an opinion leader or expert in a certain area where people ask you for your opinion.
    • You may also be a trendsetter and like to see and get things before others.

  8. Why does Vibe Village want to run word of mouth (Vibe) programs?

    Vibe Village runs Vibe marketing programs on behalf of paying clients. These clients could come from several industries including food, beverages, technology etc. These clients are looking to reach consumers in a very targeted way. By understanding your interests/passions we can tailor very targeted offers to you so that you will only hear about things you have an interest in. These clients understand that many people are difficult to reach through traditional advertising channels for a variety of reasons but that others may be more receptive to hearing about products and services from likeminded people they can trust.

  9. Does Vibe Village charge me a fee for joining or participating in programs?

    No. Membership is free and there is no cost for participation in a program.

  10. Will the products that I Vibe about ever cost me?

    Generally you'll get the samples for free. Some more expensive products such as a phone for example, may be available to you at a discounted price. This will vary depending on the campaign, the products involved and the client budget.

  11. Where I do need to pay for a product, how do I do this?

    Where you do need to pay a discounted price, this can be done using your credit card and the Vibe Village secure payment system.

  12. How do you select me to participate in Vibe Programs and match me with only those products I am interested in?

    We use the information you provide us with regarding your interests, passions and your demographic details (age, sex, gender, type of employment etc) to match you with programs we believe you will be interested in. You can help us to match you more closely with various programs by staying up to date with Polls and Surveys on your My Vibe page which gives us a little more information about you than you will have provided when you joined.

  13. What is a Poll? What is a Survey? Where do I find them?

    A Poll is normally a couple of questions on a particular topic that creates interest, fun and discussion amongst members. A Survey is normally 5-10 questions that enables us to better match you against a word of mouth program that you might be interested in. Because we only get a very broad overview of your interests when you join, we sometimes need to ask a few more questions depending on what the brand is trying to achieve out of the word of mouth program. Every time you complete a Poll or a Survey you get points that will contribute towards your entries into the monthly promotion.

  14. Will My personal information remain between me and ONLY Vibe Village?

    Yes. You will never be spammed nor will your details be passed on to any third party. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

  15. I filled in a survey but wasn't invited to join a program. Why?

    There are a few resons for why this may happen:
    • There are limited spaces available for that particular program and it is full
    • There are other Agents with a higher interest match with the product program.
    • Vibe Village clients have given specific criteria that you don't match eg. You are a male with an interest in mobile phone technology and the client is targeting female mobile phone users

  16. What is a Vibe Report? Do I have to do them?

    Yes. We ask that you to actively participate in word of mouth programs by talking to others in a natural, honest way and reporting back on this conversation by way of a Vibe Report.

    A Vibe Report is Vibe Village's main way of measuring the success of a word of mouth program. Also, for every Vibe Report submitted you will be building your status as a member of Vibe Village. Building your status is good because it enables you to be in with the opportunity to receive great rewards from Vibe Village. We don’t just give rewards away, there for our Agents and Hosts who demonstrate their passion and commitment to the programs their involved in.

  17. What happens after you apply to join a Vibe Agent Program?

    We will send you an email acknowledging your application. Once we have all applications, we will make a decision selecting the Vibe Agents. This is based on a number on factors:

    1. How many spots are available on the program
    2. Programs Vibe Agents have previously done and their level of activity
    3. And the specific needs of the brand(s) that make up the program 

    Going directly to your Viber Profile page will allow you to keep track of all of your activity at anytime.

  18. As a Vibe Agent, can I make suggestions back to the company regarding their product?

    Absolutely, we encourage it. This can be done in a number of ways:
    • By completing a Survey
    • Participating in a word of mouth program
    • Completing a Vibe Report
    • Rating products and services

  19. Should I tell people I am a Vibe Agent?

    Yes. You are not selling anything and there is nothing to hide. It's really important that you tell people that you are involved with Vibe Village and that we have given you the opportunity to give feedback on a product or service. Whether it's good or bad feedback or a mixture of both, it doesn't matter provided it's honest.

  20. What is the disclosure check/ tick box on the Vibe Report?

    By ticking this box, you indicate that you have been upfront in telling those involved in completing a Vibe Report, that you are a Vibe Agent.

  • What is a Vibe Party?

    A Vibe Party is a fun and interesting event usually within the home of a Host. Your party will see and get free product or service samples, often before they are available to the public... For example imagine seeing a movie launch in your home with your friends before it is even launched in the cinema. You can have your voice heard by feeding back your thoughts on those products or services featured at your party. During the Vibe Party, you can compete on-line with hundreds of other Vibe Parties through our national on-line quiz which gives your Vibe Party the chance to win a major prize on the day!

  • Where does all the free stuff come from?

    Companies that are keen to show you their new product and/or get feedback on the product pay Vibe Village to set-up Vibe Parties. In the process, Vibe Village organises with the paying company or brand, lots of goodies that make it worth your while for your guests to want to come to your party

  • What is the winning prize?


    The value and nature of prize is determined by sponsor brand goals and their budget. The prize available will be detailed well in advance when Vibe Village members apply to host a party.

  • How is this prize distributed between the host, guests and virtual guests?

    This is determined by the individual Host and is detailed on their My Parties page.

  • Who can hold a Vibe Party?

    A person 18 years or older who has:
    • a residence others will be comfortable attending
    • access to a comfortable environment with broadband internet access.

  • In the Vibe Village website what is the difference between a Future Party and an Current Party?

    A Future Party is a party we are not yet in a position to reveal all details such as what the party pack will contain or the exact timing.
    A Current Party is a party that is ready to receive applications to host or attend as a guest. Within Party Hall you will see a tab for Future Parties, and a Tab for Open Parties.

  • How do I apply to host a party?

    Vibe Parties will be advertised throughout Vibe Village. By clicking on this advertisement, you will be taken to the specific Vibe Party. Alternatively, you can go directly to Party Hall and then select the Open Parties tab and then select the specific Open Party you would like to apply to host. On that specific page you will see a tab that you can click to apply to be a host.

  • Do I need to join Vibe Village to host a Vibe Party or attend as a Physical Guest or Virtual Guest? Is there a cost? What information will you need from me?

    Yes you will need to join Vibe Village to be part of a Vibe Party, as a Host or as a guest. There is no cost to you in joining. As a party guest, there is some basic information we ask of you which is protected by our privacy policy (so it remains only with Vibe Village and is not sold to any third party). To host a party you will need to fill out a more detailed questionnaire which will take about 10 minutes. This information allows us to match you with the Vibe Parties you are most suited to.

  • Will I be able to host all of the Vibe Parties I want to?

    You can apply for any Vibe Party you would like to host, however sponsoring companies will provide guidelines as to who they are targeting. We will use the profile that you fill out to match you with parties that fit with your age, sex etc and your interests and see how this lines up against the target. We will then let you know via email whether you have been accepted as a host.

  • How will I know whether or not I have been chosen to host a Vibe Party?

    You will receive an email confirming we have received your application. During the following 10 days, we will send another email letting you know the outcome of your application to host and a link that gives you further information about the Vibe Party you will host.

  • Why do host applications close so far before the party?

    We need to know numbers so that the Vibe Party packs can be prepared.This may involve printing and sourcing products, all of which takes time

  • Does there have to be a minimum number of parties hosted before a party is confirmed?

    Yes. The sponsoring company specifies how many individually hosted Vibe Parties are required. This may vary between parties can be from the hundreds into the thousands:

  • Why was I not selected to host a party?

    If you have not been accepted to host a party it could be because:
    a) Host spots were full
    b) Insufficient number of parties from a sponsor brand perspective.
    c) You were not ideally matched against the party profile which is often guided by the paying sponsor brand.
    Don't forget you can always apply to be a guest at someone else’s Vibe Party in the Open Party Page.

  • What information will I need to provide to host a Vibe Party?

    We will need to know a little more about you – your age , sex, what you are passionate about and some other information This will only take about 10 minutes to complete. Vibe Village can then use this information to gauge how well you are matched to Vibe Parties. When you apply to host a Vibe Party, you will be asked to fill out your profile (if you have not previously filled out your profile in Vibe Village)

  • Why am I asked questions as part of applying for a Vibe Party?

    What we are trying to do is to match you with parties that are most suited to your interests. We also have to meet the criteria of the sponsoring company. These criteria will vary, but a sponsor may ask Vibe Village to run a Party with a specific age group, or with people who currently use a specific brand for example.

  • Is there a minimum number of physical guests needed to be eligible to run a Vibe Party?

    Yes. We will specify the minimum number of guests needed to be eligible for a Vibe Party.
    We reserve the right to check guest attendance directly with the guests.

  • What is the typical timeline for organising a Vibe Party?

    We will do everything possible to give you plenty of notice about upcoming Vibe Parties. Specific details and timing will be shown on the Open Party page.


    In general though Vibe Parties will be announced a while before they are due to take place as time is required for us to arrange all the details and send out the Vibe Party Packs. Hosts too have to invite their friends and get themselves ready for the Vibe Party!

  • As a host how can I manage my party attendance?

    In Party Hall, go to the My Parties tab, which lists all of your active parties. With active parties you, as host, can designate whether the party is an Application Only Party or a Private Party.
    Private Party: If you designate your party as Private, only you can send out invitations to physical or virtual guests.
    Application Only:In addition to you sending out invites, you are allowing others who may or may not be known to you to apply to attend your party either physically or virtually. You can accept or decline their application to attend your party and if you accept, how you would like them to attend (as a physical or virtual guest).
    Within My Parties you can also send and re-send invites and messages between guests.

  • As a host, can I hold the party on a different date?

    The answer to this depends on the type of Vibe Party you are involved in. Some Vibe Parties are planned to run simultaneously around the country on the same day at the same time as they involve a ‘live/real-time’ interactive Quiz. Others can occur over the space of a week or two. When you apply to join a Vibe party just take a look and see what is specified about the date. If you have a last minute emergency and your Vibe Party Pack has already arrived, please reschedule as close as possible to the original date. Please update your My Parties page to show any changes and notify guests and please let us know as soon as possible.

  • Am I able to host a party at a location other than my house?

    Yes, provided you are able to attract your guests, provide a comfortable environment and you have broadband internet access to participate in the national on-line quiz.

  • As a host does it matter what time of day I hold my party?

    If the Vibe Party is one that involves the use of the on-line Quiz then the time and date of the Vibe Party CANNOT be changed. If the Vibe Parties are scheduled to occur during the course of one or two weeks  then you can set the date and time that suits you best. All you need to do is let us know when you have scheduled your Vibe Party for. When you apply to Host a Vibe Party simply look to see what the date restrictions (if any) are. It’s that easy!

  • What are my responsibilities when I sign up to host a party?

    • To manage guest attendance and follow through to ensure that physical guests and virtual guests actually attend the Vibe Party in the numbers agreed to when you signed up.
    • To manage guest attendance by keeping your My Parties page updated
    • To provide a comfortable environment with food, drink and other comfort factors
    • To create excitement by uploading a video and/or images of the event
    • To contact us well in advance of the Party if for an unforseen reason you can no longer host a party
    • To contact us if for any reason your Party Pack has not arrived
    • To represent the sponsor brands by ensuring that you fill out your Party Report on the Vibe Village website
    • To ensure that you, as a host, and your guests follow our Code of Conduct

  • Who will see the address where my party will be held?

    Only your invited guests will see the location where your party will be held.

  • What will I get in my Vibe Party Pack

    This will depend on the brands involved. You may get free samples of products before they are available to the public, discount vouchers for your friends, and 'pass-on' kits that allow you to pass on the benefits you've received to your friends. When the vibe party is open for applications to host, all benefits will be detailed.

  • How and when will the Party Pack be delivered to me?

    Generally these will be delivered to your home the week prior to the party. Often the parcel will be too large to fit in your mail box and will need to be picked up from your post office.
