Vibe Village is all about changing the way that people interact with Brands, Products, Services and the People in the Companies behind them.
Vibe Village was formed by Tgarage, a marketing agency started in Ballarat Victoria (the center of the known Universe) to service their clients’ needs in Marketing Strategy and Marketing Communications.
We passionately believe that the best way for the best products and services to market themselves is through Word of Mouth.
Most people understand that if a product is rubbish then no amount of advertising will help it recover or grow, Word of Mouth will kill it. HOWEVER there is nothing to say that the good products get the coverage they deserve either! And that is where we come in. A product does not have to be an IPHONE to be praiseworthy, it can just be a good product.
According to David Shenk Author of Data Smog, in 1997 the average person viewed over 3,000 branded messages every single day. In the last 11 years since David wrote his book it has only got worse: Net advertising, Google adwords, Ads on emails, SPAM, TV advertising , Plasma screens in shopping malls, outdoor advertising, radio advertising, mobile billboards, sport and event sponsorship and today even napkins have ads (yes really www.napkinad.com.au). We estimate the number has increased to over 5,000 ads every single day.
We are a marketing agency so we are not having a go at advertising, (well bad advertising is worth having a go at) just pointing out that everyone is so desperate to get your attention that they will do anything to be noticed – even if it means being used to wipe up your spilt lunch.
So here is a radical idea – instead of talking to everyone (which costs a lot on traditional broadcast media) why not just talk to the people that are interested?
And that is what we do, find the people that are interested in what our clients are doing and give them the information, product samples, or whatever they need to talk to their friends about it. No one is paid (although we want to reward people who do more) we just match your interest profile with our clients.
We are aware of “Word of Mouth” advertising sites where people essentially get paid to flog stuff (good or bad) off to their friends and family, and that is not how we want to work.
So here is our Promise to our Vibers:
We are all about the truth, Good or Bad we want to know what you (and your friends and family) think.
Feedback is really critical to us, we want to know what you, your Friends and Family think about the products and services we send you. We feed that back to all our clients – they come to Vibe Village because they want to hear directly from YOU.
No one will get Paid to flog stuff off to their friends and family
Rewards are available for the people that are the most active on Vibe Village and every campaign has great rewards available for people that participate, but those prizes are based on you communicating with us not on selling products.
We think that asking you to tell your friends about stuff so that you get rewarded is an abuse of the trust that your friends and family put in you.
If you are not naturally excited about the campaign then we have blown it.
Recommendations are trusted over advertising because they come from a trusted source - you. If you are not naturally excited then you won’t (and shouldn’t) tell anyone about the products on Vibe Village. That means that we have not matched you with the correct campaign, because if you were properly matched then you would want to talk about it!
