What are the basics?

You register with us, apply for a campaign of interest, receive free samples, share your opinions with friends and report back to us what conversations you’ve had about those samples.
 
 

Is there any catch, will it cost anything?

No. Membership is free and there is no cost for participation in a campaign.

You must be an Australian or New Zealand resident and 13 years of age or older. If you are under 18 years of age we will need parental consent via email.
 
 

What is a campaign?

A campaign is a way for you our Vibe Village members to spread the word about brands you are interested in and provide feedback on your experience.   Along the way you’ll get involved in trying out new products or services often before they hit the market. We conduct these campaigns on behalf of our clients, the company who owns the brand.  These companies are keen to match the right people with their brands. More details here.

Do I need to register?

To be apart of our campaigns, yes. Registering will allow you to apply for campaigns, be part of the action and interact with the Vibe Village community.
 
 

What’s in this for me?

You’ll be the first to sample new and unreleased products and services in the market. You’ll be the first to share all your free brand samples with your friends. We offer great prizes for campaign participation, and your feedback can help shape product design of major Australian brands.
 
 

How do I update my details?

Your username, password, postal address and personal details can be modified easily. Log into Vibe Village and click ‘Update my details’ which is directly below your profile picture on the left hand side of the page (when you are logged in).
 
 

Who is eligible to be a Vibe Village member?

You must be an Australian or New Zealand resident and 13 years of age or older. If you are under 18 years of age we will need parental consent via email. On the join screen, a parental email address will be requested from you if your date of birth indicates that you are under the age of 18. Your parent or legal guardian will need to confirm their consent allowing you to join.
 
 
 
 

 

 

Does Vibe Village charge me a fee for registering or participating in campaigns?

No. Membership is free and there is no cost for participation in a campaign.
 
 

Do I ever get paid for participating?

No, we’re not a ‘cash for comment’ business. We’re after your honest opinion and feedback about products and services; however you may be able to win prizes as part of a promotion from time to time.
 

 

 

Will all products and services in campaigns be free?

Generally you'll get the samples for free. Some more expensive products such as a phone for example, may be available to you at a discounted price. This will vary depending on the campaign, the products involved and the client budget. Any costs will be clearly communicated to you at the very outset of a campaign.
 

 

 

If I do need to pay for a product, how do I do this?

Where you do need to pay a discounted price, this can be done using your credit card and the Vibe Village secure payment system.
 
 

So, you send me free stuff, is that it?

What’s in this for Vibe Village? Who pays you?

We organise campaigns for clients from several industries including food, beverages, health, technology etc. Rather than use traditional advertising channels, our clients utilise Vibe Village to engage people in their products and services. More about us here.
 
 
 

Prizes? What prizes?

On top of the free samples to try and share with your friends, most Vibe Village campaigns offer great prizes you can win as a reward for your participation.  The value and nature of prizes are determined by the company sponsoring the campaign and their budget.
 
 
 
 

 

 

 

I’m applying for a campaign, why do I have to fill out a survey?

A survey is normally 5-10 questions that enables us to better match you to a campaign that you might be interested in. Because we only get a very broad overview of your interests when you register, we sometimes need to ask a few more questions depending on what the brand is trying to achieve from the campaign.
 
 

What happens once I’ve applied?

We will send you an email acknowledging your application. Once we have received all applications (this could be anywhere from a few days to a few weeks) we will select members that are best suited to the campaign and email you the details.
 
 

How do you select me once I’ve applied to a campaign?

We use the information you provide us with regarding your interests, passions and your demographic details (age, gender, type of employment etc) to match you with campaigns we believe you will be interested in and meet our client brief. You can help us to match you more closely with various campaigns by answering any surveys that we present you truthfully.
 
 

I filled in a survey but wasn't invited to join a campaign. Why?

There are a few reasons why this may happen:
  1. There are limited spaces available for that particular campaign and it is full,
  2. Vibe Village clients have given specific criteria that you don't match eg. You are a male with an interest in  mobile phone technology but the client is targeting female mobile phone users,
  3. There are other members with a higher trust factor than you.
 
 

I’ve been selected to participate in a campaign, what now?

We email you with a link to the campaign page and some instructions on what to do next.
 
 
 
 
 

What is a Conversation Report?

A Conversation Report is Vibe Village's main way of measuring the success of a campaign. It is a short online report that records each conversation you have about the product or service. It asks who you spoke to, what was said and if it was face to face, on your phone or over the internet. Since we are not there in person to observe your conversations we need to hear from you! Our clients, the brand owners are very interested in these conversation reports. Also, for every Conversation Report submitted you will be building your trust factor rating as a member of Vibe Village.
 
 

Do I have to do Conversation Reports?

Yes. We ask that you actively participate in word of mouth campaigns by talking to others in a natural, honest way and reporting back on these conversations.
 
 

How do I write a Conversation Report?

There will be a link on the campaign page you are involved in. You can access the campaign page from the Campaign List page
 
 

Sometimes I receive reminders to complete conversation reports when I have not yet received my delivery - what do I do?

It’s likely there were problems with your pack delivery. Please Contact Us, let us know what campaign you’ve applied for and when you expected the pack.
 
 

Should I tell people I am a Vibe Village member?

Yes. You are not selling anything and there is nothing to hide. It's really important that you tell people that you are involved with Vibe Village and that we have given you the opportunity to give feedback on a product or service. Whether it's good or bad feedback or a mixture of both, it doesn't matter provided it's honest.
 
 

Can I make suggestions back to the company regarding their product or service?

Absolutely, we encourage it. This can be done in a number of ways:
  1. By completing the survey when you apply to a campaign,
  2. Participating in our campaigns,
  3. Completing conversation reports,
  4. Rating products and services

What will I get in my Vibe Village pack?

This will depend on the brands involved. You may get free samples of products before they are available to the public, other goodies related to the campaign, discount vouchers for your friends, and 'pass-on' kits that allow you to pass on the benefits you've received to your friends. The samples are full sized products too, not just sample sizes.
 
 

How will the Vibe Village pack be delivered to me?

Often the parcel will be too large to fit in your mail box and will need to be picked up from your post office. Other times the deliveries are made by contractors to your home or office, e.g. deliveries that require refrigeration.
 
 

I’m expecting a delivery but my address has changed, what do I do?

Please Contact Us, letting us know what campaign you’ve applied for and your new address. To update your address, log into Vibe Village and click ‘Update my details’ which is directly below your profile picture on the left hand side of the page.
 
 

How do I receive my delivery if I will not be home on that date?

Please Contact Us, we will need to make other delivery arrangements.

Yes. You will never be spammed nor will your details be passed on to any third party. We treat privacy seriously.

Is Vibe Village content safe for children?

The majority of the content on Vibe Village is generated by our members. While we monitor content and require all members to abide by our strict code of conduct we cannot guarantee the content on our site will always be safe for children. We ask our members to report any bad behaviour to us immediately.
