We thought you would be interested in a new concept we are working on, and would like your thoughts.

We are going to start implementation of a concept called trustfactor. For existing users that have completed all their tasks on a given program we will basically have a score allocated to % complete of that program. These scores will accumulate over time to become your trusted score.

What this means is we will the start to turn on Automatic approvals. So when you apply for a program, those with a high trustfactor will be approved automatically, provided all other criteria are correct.

Views/Thoughts ?

I think that is a great idea . . .that way people cant just apply for programs/parties without doing the 'vibe-ing' involved.
I have noticed heaps of people (mostly in apples to apples and the masterfoods parties) who applied for them, received the items, and didn't post one single thing on the wall . . . . there would have been 100's in the masterfoods one.
So these people received the products and didn't do what they were meant to do, which was share the vibe.
Also, then we wouldn't have anyone doing the totally dishonest thing, and sell the products on eBay either . . . . grrrrrrrr!
Members who really want to try the products and share the vibe would get a better chance of being accepted in the programs/parties.
What a great idea Vibe Village!!! Love it!

We are also thinking of having levels in the trust factor for exmple, Expert, Eilite, ....

Plus what do you think about rating other peoples comments and photos, (registered members only)
Those that recieve high ratings will have a higer "RESPECT" and thus this could also raise their Trust Factor score. if people find what they have done useful or good. This could mean new members could advance quickley if only have one program but get good ratings from other members.

I think it is a great idea to have a rating from Vibe Village. This way the members who actually contribute and be part of what the intentions of Vibe Village are about, can be rewarded with more things to try. It will stamp out those who are just around for a quick freebie so to speak.

I am not sure I like the idea of others rating my pics and stuff, as a while ago someone went into my conversation reports and rated them all 1. The reports were quality, and I looked through some others, and nobody else had ratings except for another member who had 5's for all of theirs. It felt a bit like sabotage lol.

thats no good purplelion! When people rate the ratings (i didnt know you could) does it say who rated them??? Thats just nasty.
If that sort of 'sabotage' happens, members rating other members reports and having that as part of the 'Trust Factor' just wouldnt work . . . as how can you rate other members 'trust' if they are being sabotaged??
I think it would be great if VV did the rating on report and blogs and pic etc . . . . . but not the members . . . . .
Can other members write stuff on other members 'blogs'? If not, maybe that would be something good to look into? But, of course only if members are the only ones who can write stuff, and not guests . . . . that way people cant hide behind 'masks'??? And we get to know what other members think?? If it is something really nasty, then there should be an option where the person who owns the blog can delete/hide the comment. But of course, this could mean extra work for VV if there turns out being a few disputes between members due to their comments . . . . . . . . . hmmmmmm . . . . something to think about.
But i do think VV should have the influence over the 'Trust Factor' and NOT other members.

Great idea but I agree with the others - trust factor should be assessed by VV.

yes and no... i also see an issue with the trust factor because it means that people who get accepted for lots of the parties/programs get more opportunity to get accepted for a lot more so favoring them a lot! it also kind of pushes new people out so they don't get accepted because it gets filled up with other members that have the "trust factor"
also it does need to be determined via VV not by other members comments or ratings as they could get their friends to come on and become a member and rate themselves highly and others lowly.

i am with mummy2jj, can see good and bad in it.

i dont think that it should be counted from what others rate your input in the programs.

to all the vibe crew i can see how hard it must be from your side, but i have to say i enjoy being envolved, and as a mother or 3 youngsters it give me something to look forward to.
it is sad that some people are just getting the free stuff and not fullfilling the requirements of the programs.
good work, i look forward in hearing what comes of this..

I agree but vibe village take your survey answers and use them to determine if you are suitable for a program

I think that it would be great if all vibers were given a trustfactor rating - obviously VV would still have to decide if the viber was eligible to participate in the selected program (ie for nappies program they must have children etc etc). It's sad to see that some members are not fully participating in the programs and providing feedback however this system would surely weed these ones out. I don't think it is a good idea to let members rate each others posts etc - as stated already it is very subjective and could lead to a lot of bad feeling.

I also agree with the trust factor. Vibe users should participate flly & those that do the right thing shold have that incentive. It will then discourage those just after some free stff without having to do any of the "work". I know a lot of people put in a huge effort when they participate, and others don't do anything but sell their stuff!

I don't like the idea of users rating each other though. I don't really have the time to rate what others have said and I wouldn't like others rating my opinions/photos etc. Each persons views are personal & shold be treated as such.

I've had a great time being involved with VV & look forward to continuing to try ot new products & share with others.

I think it's a great idea but agree with others about the ratings. Sometimes on here you see people with HEAPS of comments when most have none, and I'm thinking that's because you can log out of the program and leave comments, so people could just leave a heap of anonymous "guest" comments for themselves and therefore increase their "trust factor". Maybe if people could only comment once like in people's choice competitions when there's one entry per email address to make it fairer.

Hello Vibers,

Thankyou for your terrific feedback on the trustfactor concept! At this stage we are only gathering ideas, and we appreciate you taking the time to comment and look forward to hearing more from you on this idea. At this stage in the selection criteria, we are only going to look at the three previous Programs/Parties completed, and there will still be other criteria to be considered for each Program/Party. This will be fair to those new to Vibe Village and successfully completed Programs as well as rewarding those who have been "Sharing the Vibe" for some time.

The rating on the trustfactor reports will not be able to be changed by others, so we feel that the reports will be kept fair, and we appreciate your comments on others being able to rate reports and will take this into consideration.

Thanks again for your feedback, we love hearing from you!

Guys

We ae almost complete and ave taken in the feedback, so the first release wont see "community voting" on tust.

These are the rules we are looking at:
1. It will look at the last three programs you have been involved in, likely split 70,20,10
2. On a program basis it will score your completion on the tasks asked to be done. So one program might ask for Photos, while others will ask for Conversation Reports and Testimonial.
3. In addition when we read your conversation reports we will score them.

Clearly this only works for existing members.

I think it's a great idea and I'm sure the companies will too as they will get better quality feedback from Vibers who are committed to the programs and parties. I don't understand why people join up and then not make the effort - well I guess I do as they get freebies, but it's such and easy thing to do - talking about products you get to try for free! Being a previous winner, I can speak for the fantastic incentive prizes offered, but you know what, I think a lot of Vibers would be like me and do it because they love it! I'm looking forward to seeing how this works.

I agree. So many members sign up just for the freebies and dont add any photos or testimonials. And then there are vibers that contribute and put in so much effort. It would be great to see the trust factor rating thing work. That way vibers that contribute get rewarded and companies receive the feedback they want! I agree with KYMichelle on the voting system. So many members just log out and type in there own comments under guest. You can tell because how can 1 feedback receive soooooooo many comments and others one or two. It would be great if you had to type in your registered email and be only allowed say 5 comments.

Hi,

I like the idea of a trust factor based on the amount of reports etc we do. One thing about the photos though, my friends and I don't really like putting our faces up on public sites. If people aren't comfortable posting their pictures on the site will they be penalised?

cheers
Djuma

Hi Djuma, I'm not keen on having my photo taken so I use other friends and family members in most of mine. I also take photos of the products. One example of one I've used is my family's hands reaching into a bowl or bag of chips that I've trialled. Check out some of the chips sites like Kettle and Pitos to see what I mean. I hope this helps.
