Maybe I just got a dud, but this mascara just continually flakes/crumbles off on me. Even got little crumbs in my eyes. Worst experience I've ever had with mascara.

I agree with you - Napoleon have some great products but their mascaras are definately not worth buying. I have had the same problem with it flaking and crumbling too.

Try Mirenesse mascara (google it) I've been using Mirenesse for about 3 years ... I tell EVERYONE about Mirenesse .. Nothing could make me change brands ... It's just too good

Snoopy perhaps it had been on the shelf too long? What a horrible experience. I have two Napoleon mascaras and l LOVE Madame Fantasia not so fond of Madame Curl Curl.

I hate hate hate Napolean mascaras aswell! After a week of having mine, I went back into the store to ask whether such crumbling clumping finish was normal and the girl just looked at me like I was an idiot and told me not to use so many brush strokes! I used to love their eye shadows for the beautiful colours they have... but I find them actually of poorish quality (one as I got half way through it, I found medium sized clear lumps and bumps in it - like sometihng was never dissolved properly before it was set) and not great value (having to buy each colour seperately really annoys me... you go in looking for a blue, and they sell you 1 big blue pot plus 2 others that you 'need' to blend with to make it look good - why don't they offer smaller sizes together in a colour palette like other companies do?!)

For mascara, I always recommend Clinique... I have sensitive eyes and have never had a problem with any of their products, though they can be a little bit more pricey.

The perfect mascara for me is Mirenesse...It is totally waterproof. When I used Napoleon I woke up with my eyes nearly fused shut. I'm allergic to the blasted stuff. Mirenesse seems coat your lashes with like plastic tubes which you can actually pull off (still int he tube shape) it's pretty cool really!

I agree Mirenesse make great products but I found with the mascara that if I don't put it on in a rush then it would clump and my lashes would stick together (I like to put on several coats and take my time so I don't poke an eye out)

I agree!! For a really cheap awesome mascara, try Covergirl Professional. Ive honestly only ever found one other brand to compare to it.. and its about 11 bucks from the supermarket! Bargain.

Same - I got a free one with a magazine and it was terrible, used it once or twice and threw it out.

I'm so glad I didn't waste my money on it! I got it free as part of a prize pack and it's useless.
I agree with blingy - mirenesse is GREAT.

I had to faulter from my usual Mirenesse to Rimmel the last week. What a BIG mistake! My eyelashes have now halved I think

What a sorry site the brush is all clumped after just 1 week. Rimmel is now on my naughty list

After seeing how much you all rave about Mirenesse on here I had to try it myself. Bought a volumising mascara from them and it didn't do that much volumising at all. Reminded me of full and soft mascara think Maybelline make that. Great for day time use but not dramatic at all.

I was given the new Rimmel glam eyes mascara to test for another site and fell completely in love with it. Sky high thick no clump lashes. Results I'd never believed I could achieve with mascara alone. I do agree with you chocablock though, after a couple of weeks the formula started to dry a little and didn't go on perfectly. It is really cheap though (by my standards). Covergirl have a new mascara with a similar wand so I'll give that a go next.

I just bought a Madison magazine yesterday. Haven't bought if for ages, the only reason I did was because of the Napoleon Perdis freebie. Is this why they are giving them away to us mere folk? Do I dare try it now? I haven't even opened it yet. I'll post again once I've tried it.

I hate Napoleon mascara's, even one light coat makes my lashes look clumpy and just wrong. I got my make-up done at the Napoleon counter twice, and both times the girls made my lashes just as clumpy, so it's not just me who's applying it badly!

My favourites are Chanel and Lancome. Very exxy, but I only ever need one coat to get perfect lashes, so it's worth it in my book.

I am in total agreement with the Vibers who use Mirenesse mascara. The Secret Weapon Mascara is the best I have ever used, and having used mascara for around 30 years I know there are some shockers out there!
I wear glasses and this one stays on all day and lasts through humid conditions as well.
You will often find it on special offer on the Mirenesse website.
