| After eagerly anticipating this program and the arrival of our Nude Food Mover last week, my son used it at school today for the 2nd time. Imagine my horror when it was brought home today with the latch for the snack area broken off, maning this section is now unable to be closed, as well as a large crack on the hinge side of this area. I know someone else posted last week that their daughter's NFM got cracked after someone trod on it (they think). Now I know 6 year old boys are not the most careful of creatures, but he really does not think he was too rough with it or remember dropping it or his bag. I am disappointed that it does not seem durable enough to withstand 2 days of use and I am reconsidering whether I buy some for my husband and my other 2 boys. Has anybody else had durability issues with their NFM? | | | |

| The lunchbox we have has not broken . . yet . . . but - i did notice that the snack compartment has a gap that goes straight through the top (near the hinge) in to the compartment - meaning whatever I put in there will dry out easy, especially in summer. Im not too keen on that idea. Also it would allow for germs and bacteria to get in to the food :( I too am reconsidering buying some, we were going to buy 9 sets for our nieces, nephews and our other children - but the website isn't up and running yet . . . . perhaps this is a sign??? It is going to be hard to spread the 'vibe' on the lunchboxes if they are not only faulty but break easy. I do however LOVE the skins . . i might just purchase some skins and put the tupperware lunchboxes in them that I use to use. | | | |

| | Yes it only took one week when my son also had a broken latch on the tub side of the box. Am very disappointed as he loved it, he was so proud going to school with it and his friends liked it too. | | | |

| Ours hasn't broken yet, but that's probably because neither of my boys wants to use it!
We already use Smash products and (despite the occasional broken latch) are very pleased with their products.
But this particular lunch box is way too big and not at all 'flexible' - in that you have the same compartments to fill each day. Silly me when applying for this program, assumed the boxes would at least pull apart so they could be used only when needed and to be washed more easily...
We've decided to stick to the insulated smash zip boxes which we fill with various sized and shaped snack boxes (and small ice pack if needed) depending on our food for the day.
How is everyone else going with the design, and size? And is it possible to resign from a program if you don't feel you can 'sell' the product? (I'd be happy to return it)

Lelo,
I think there is usually a button you can click on the usually under the program picture in your viber profile. I dont know what happens then, but I have noticed it.

| | My daughter has used the lunch box everyday since school went back, so 2 and a half weeks and the only problems we have is that she cant handle the skin so we don't use it and that it is scratched on the bottom of the rounded compartment. I think it needs a bit of rubber like other smash containers we have. I have also brought one for my 3 year old and she hasn't broken it yet after about 6 or 7 uses. | | | |

| Well . . . . . . . . . . It happened!! We noticed last night that my daughters nudefood lunch box has a broken clasp. She is totally upset . . she loved the box and it was only the 4th time she used it. She is always gentle and it still broke. It was a fault in the actual container itself - a little tiny piece of plastic broke off one of the latches, now because this little piece is gone, it wont close :( I really love the whole 'nude food' thing . . . but the quality is disappointing. She wants another one - but i don't think i'll be paying $12 and up for another one if it is only going to last 4 uses. Luckily the skin holds it all together, so she wont loose the coloured containers due to the broken latch. :( . . . . . . :( . . . . . . . . Gunna be hard to spread 'the vibe' if my heart isn't for the whole product due to quality . . . . . . :( | | | |

| Hi Flickity flick flick, and anyone else who have broken latches I contacted both Vibe Village and then Smash (through the NFM website) and the upshot of it is that this seems to be a very common problem and they have ordered "improved quality products" which should arrive next week, and I will be sent one. I got a lovely email from the lady at SMash appreciating my effort to let them know. I too thought it would be very difficult to spread the vibe on a product that only lasted 2 days but now when I share the vibe I tell them about how good Smash's customer service is and that i will let them know about the product when I receive the replacement. So, contact Vibe Village (does take a few days for them to reply) and also Smash (through www.nudefoodmovers.com.au then contact us) to let them know. | | | |

| | I am glad that they are working on the quality of these lunchboxes. It is such a shame that some people have already had problems with it. I was really excited about this program and although i didnt get accepted i was planning on buying one of these for my son anyway. After reading this i think i will wait and see if the current problems are resolved before I purchase. | | | |

| Thankyou so much for the advice bellegb. I contacted VibeVillage about the problem, and then I rang Smash and spoke to a lovely lady about the problem I have with the box, and she said they are expecting new ones next week, and she will send one out when they arrive. The customer Service is totally above standards!! Thank you Smash for having great service - which is rare these days :) | | | |

| | Well I finally got my lunch box after the postie stole it, but I am a little afraid to send it with my daughter after all of the posts about the latches. I would hate for the thing to break in a couple of days; my daughter was so excited when she opened the box. | | | |

| | Oh I thought I was going to be immune, I really hoped I would but unfortunately nope- the latch is history and my daughter is not a happy camper, niether is my husband for that matter as he took it to work over the weekend and I am going to buy him one aswell. I am disappointed, as I really think the product is fantastic, but if I am recommending it to friends etc which I have been wholeheartedly, am I setting them up for dissapointment if they purchase one of the lunch boxes at say bigw and it breaks aswell. Does smash know if its a particular batch number or anything like that? I am extremely glad that their customer serivce seems to be really fantastic, hopefully I can get another lunch box before the program ends so I can keep on spreading the word. | | | |

| | Our nude lunchbox hasnt broken yet, but i find the skin is difficult to get on and off, as are the container lids. The lunchbox is a little too big for childrens schoolbags. It takes up alot of room. I still love the concept of no rubbish except for the compost bin. I hope they can send an improved version as i have worried about the hinge also. My son and i went on holiday and took it on a picnic. It was difficult for me with getting the skin on and off. Mums want the convenience of washing lunchboxes easily and that they last the year. The hinges are a little weak. Its hard to recommend a product that cost $26 and breaks. Hope they can improve the product. | | | |

| | Have been reading this page since it first went up and thought.... all those poor people its such a shame that their lunch boxes broke as its a great box. Yeah well guess what...ours broke too. Came home from school broken, so had to ask teacher and she said it broke when miss 5 went to get her recess out. Wow supergirl at 5. lol Broken hinge and big crack now add to our lunch box. Miss 5 still wants to use it so I guess I'd need to tape up the bit she cant use. hmmm So it lasted 2 1/2 weeks not quite long enough. | | | |
