I got a $100 gift voucher to use at redballoon.com.au . Being on a low income I thought I'd get myself a treat and checked out their giftboxes. They had 2 I liked, one was a $35 lolly shop box and the other was a $65 chocolate box. Bonanza, that comes to exactly $100 which was the amount of my voucher.
I went to purchase them and first they hit me with almost $25 in delivery fees. I could have cancelled the transaction but anything on their site would have cost me so I kept going. Then they hit me with a $4 transaction fee for using a gift voucher. I have never, ever, been charged for using a gift voucher anywhere before. I decided to go ahead anyway, even if I had cancelled one of the boxes I would still be losing money.
On the site they say that delivery of gift boxes is done the next working day. But the next working day I got an email to say that the boxes had just been processed and would be delivered within 2 - 7 working days.
They turned up today, which is 3 working days after I ordered them and I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with the contents. The lollies in the $35 lolly shop gift box are all mixed in one big bag, and are similar to the ones you can buy at Kmart or any supermarket for $15. The chocolates in the $65 chocolate box are even worse, a few oversized smarties and freckles. I could get the same at Kmart again for around $20.
In total the 2 boxes cost $128 and had less than $50 worth of product in the combined boxes.

Thanks for the warning, that is very unfortunate for you though :( Nobody likes to get ripped off! It would have been good if they advertised weights or volumes of the lollies and chocolates so you knew if it would be worth it.
