Had it for just over 12 months, and shortly there after the DVD player decided not to open anymore.

I dont have kids, and always treat my possessions with care too.

Imagine not using your system for a couple of months and then want to play a CD and you cant.

:(

Wont buy that brand ever again.

I think these type of trials on VibeVillage would be good for 18 months...so as not to give positive fedback after 12 months and finaaly realise a few more later its a dud.

I hate when things break down just after the warranty period!! Its like they have a built in timer...Im sure Im not alone on this one!! We had fridge, Microwave, and Dvd player ALL stop working just after their warranty period!! Now just waiting for the TV to go...we paid extended warranty on that one....

Magnavox is a bit of a dodgy brand. Some of the cheaper brands have great products but I haven't had any positive experiences with Magnavox. My first DVD player was Magnavox and the only movie it would play was gone with the wind!

Maybe magnavox will consider improving on quality one day.

then again maybe they don't care. Even with low prices and crappy products they're probably still making a lot of money out of unsuspecting customers.

Maybe manufacturers of appliances should have a 12 month "life Guarantee" instead of a warranty LOL, so basically you know its not going to live any longer than 12 months. LOL

We have had a Magnavox for 3 years and its still working!!!
Actually we're surprised it is still working because I think we only paid $50 for it so we didn't have high expectations!!
