I am shocked and disgusted with Fisher and paykel products they charge top shelf prices for bottom shelf quality, and forget warranties they will lead you around the ring here, and if you have purchased extended warranties with their products well kiss your money goodbye, their after sales service , well what after sales service you just keep getting the run around, I will never touch another fisher and paykel product again

I have to agree with you I have a Fisher and Paykel dishwasher that basically well you need to wash the dishes by hand to get them clean or only half load the dishwasher which is a waste of water. The door handle and lock are broken, and I have to use a door jamb to keep the door closed in order to use it.
I also have had a fisher and paykel dryer which is also no good, after repairing it three times, I have now bought a new dryer, because frankly I am sick of paying out to repair whitegoods that you paid top Dollar for and have ended up costing more in repairs than the initial outlay for the product.

Personally I've never had a problem with Fisher and Paykel products. My first washing machine lasted over 10 years and we gave it away still working when we bought our new one 5 years ago. Family got bigger so needed a bigger washing machine. I also had a FP dryer that was given to me 2nd hand 8 years ago. I guess there is always good and bad. Everything is machine made so something has to be wrong occasionally.

I bought a new Fisher and Paykel washing machine and a Fisher and Paykel dryer just over a year ago. Have not had a problem yet. I bought Fisher and Paykel because my mother has had one for about 12 years and has only just now needed to buy another one. Also, my friend who has six children and one on the way has had a F and P washing machine for the last 8 years and is still going strong and used for hours on end every day. I have another friend, though, who has had nothing but trouble with hers and had to replace after 4 years as the computer panel stopped working and was going to cost more than buying another machine! I guess that makes it about 1 in 5 of F and P's products (in my experience) are lemons and 4 in 5 products are excellent!

I have a F&P washing machine and dryer and I love them both. We have three kids, so washing is done quite frequently. I have had both for 8 years now and NEVER had a problem at all. I will definitely be buying another one when the time comes..... oh yeah... I bought a F&P fridge 18 months ago and I love that too.. no probs in this household :)

Hi guys no probs here with F&P. I bought my 7.5kg washing machine (against an electrician friends advice - computer panel problems apparently) almost 14 years ago. It was one of the first computer panel washers to come out and mine is still going strong. I have 4 kids so gets used nearly every single day. Actually I had one problem about a year after I bought it - the underwire in my bra go caught in the drainage system and I had to get a plumber (I use a bag for those things now!!)

We have a F&P washing machine and dryer. When it came to renovating our house we bought F&P double oven, cook top, range hood and dish drawer dishwasher and never had a problem. I think that they are great products.

i bought a f and p fridge many years ago and had no probs. i gave it away after ten years without a service or replacing the door seals. i then bought a stainless steel all fridge and that is when my problems started the door does not close properly we have to make sure that it is pushed shut. the after sales people told me to adjust the feet etc. after paying out that much for a fridge and for being loyal to the brand i expected a much better response. i have since bought a new fridge wich is lovely and a different brand! i now have a very expensive stainless steel BEER FRIDGE thanks to f&p!!!!

I have F&P appliances and never had a problem until a few weeks ago. My washing machine stopped working, so I called and was told it would be a $120 call out fee, plus any parts that needed to be fixed. Hubby ended up pulling it apart and giving me a little switch to get replaced. I got it from Dick Smith for $4. Washer fixed! It's good being married to a sparkie!

I love my Fisher & Paykel washer which I have had for over 6 years and no problems, when it kicks the bucket I will buy another! Much better than Simpson or other washers in my experience.

We have a fisher and paykel dish drawer, dual system. We got it as a wedding present (guests had the option to give us david jones gift vouchers towards it). It has been excellent. we have had a few faults. The first of which was under warranty, and the F&P repairer had a replacement part in his kit as it is a common fault. The next two were under our extended warranty, which made us really gerewatful we had taken the extended warranty out. I love the product and fisher and paykel were the only product to make anything like it. I would definitely buy it again, but would also get the extended warranty through david jones.

I love my F&P washing machine. We have had one problem with it something to do with it becoming unbalanced and the lovely F&P man fixed it no problems.
My parents also have the washing machine which they have had about 2 years before it refused to work. The F&P man came and fixed it no charge even though it was not under warranty any more because he said the error could not have been caused by us or wear and tear must have been a problem in manufacturing.

We replaced our 22year old { still functioning} fridge freezer with our first 'frost-free' Fisher & Paykel in January of this year . I am fully disgusted !!
I had to call out a technician in Feb.{1 mth old} as the power board needed replaced.
I had a tech out today {appliance is now 10 mths old} - a gas leak ! Will they replace it - NO - F&P policy is repair not replace.
I find this abhorant1 Half my meat defrosted! All my dairy went off.BUT - the main point is I paid a lot of money for a brand new appliance which has now been pulled apart twice 'getting sent off to a repair shop - I want a new one - that's what I paid for!!!
Totally p'ed off!!

Maybe you need to send these links to the company lizamy and express the word is spreading quickly about such disatisfying customer service and there will be alot of people very reluctant to purchase their products, what have you got to lose! I'd be p'ed off too these things are not cheap and we buy new items with the expectations we will be completely satisfied all round with our purchase for many years to come. Good luck.

i have lots of fisher and paykel products in this house, dryer, washing machine, fridge and i love them all, i think my chest freezer might be one also and that is about 15 years old and we just replaced the old fridge only because we needed more room and it was 23 years old. i think their products are great but as i have never had a problem i would definately be complaining if i ever did.

We have FP washing machine and fridge and they are now 9 years old. The washing machine has done a lot of washing including tradies overalls etc and only one problem which was fixed under warranty. Apart from that no problems whatsoever and I think they are great products.

I am not sure if this has bee mentioned yet....F&P recently (2 years ago) relocated their manufacturing base from QLD and NZ to Thailand.

They have gone from staff who are invested in and care about the company to offshore spec based maufacturing....and the specs they send to Thailand are of poor quality so they get poor quality. They are cutting corners to increase profits and trying to sell crap using their good name. Thus they are effectively trashing their good name.

I noticed from some of the post I read that poeple who have not upgraded their product recently rave about F&P...and so they should, they got a great product. Anything made in the last 2 years is crap; not only that, but they have cut their after sales service, thus poor warranty service - which you WILL need.

Anyhoo, when I upgrade all of my F&P appliances, I will be spending my money elsewhere.
