| I will never purchase another LG product. My old fridge packed up just before christmas last year (handy) so I went shopping for a new one. I narrowed it down to about 3 models but the deciding factor was that LG were offering 2 nights accommodation in a motel with the purchase of their fridge.
I filled in all the necessary paperwork and posted off and i didn't get a response and after heaps of phone calls and no one knowing what was going on and offering me all sorts of excuses like i bought outside the promotion period (no i didn't), i hadn't sent the form in on time (yes i had).... they finally pinged me on supplying the wrong Serial Number. And even though I was able to tell them the correct Serial Number.... too bad so sad for me. Yes it was in the terms and conditions but why on earth would they put 2 different serial numbers on a fridge... one on the back and one inside.
So LG your loss.......... cos word of mouth travels quick and plenty of my friends buy electrical appliances but not LG now.
No wonder a lot of people refer to LG as Loser Goods.

| I brought an Lg mobile phone the KE850, yup the 'Prada phone'.
Seriously the worst phone I have ever had, it freezes up, won't turn off, the battery life is dreadfull and since it's a touch screen phone that is heat activated it goes in to the sms, browser, games functions etc all by itself, it's like some invisible person is playing with it.
Biggest Rip Off EVER!!!

| I have actually had quite a lot of friends say nothing but bad stuff when it comes to LG phones ( used with 3 mobile usually) and every time, something went wrong they would just replace it, one friend was given a refurbished model as replacement and had more issues!!
Thats one brand of phone that I was quick to learn DO NOT BUY. When I joined telstras NextG network they were offering me a phone ( called a telstra phone) and I asked who manufactured it, and the sales girl said LG, I replied NO THANKS give me the more expensive Samsung thanks. Have not had one problem with the samsung...love it and recommend that brand to everyone now.

| Yeah I had a Samsung and it went for years. I just replaced it with a Motorola which seems good too.

| | I have an LG phone as does my partner, as we have had no hassels with ours. So I think it is a by phone basis and unfair to judge all LG phones and products by a couple of instances. | | | |

| But yeah flutterby the prada phone seems to have had a lot of issues, so that does seem like a good model to steer away from.
However the U400 is fine (my partners phone) but it is locked to the 3 network, so unless you want 3 dont buy lol. My KG440 is a fantastic little thing I have had it 2 years now and not a single hassel, it replaced my Nokia 3350 which i had for 5 years. :)

| I payed $800 a few years ago for an LG surround sound system. The DVD player lasted 2 years. Just outside the warranty. My mums old VCR lasts 10 years and still going. Just goes to show that products just aren't built to last anymore | | | |

| I am starting to wonder if the following statement from a friend is true- "LG is made by using very cheap parts, do you remember the brand called Goldstar? Well LG is their new name!!" | | | |

| Hey... since I've started talking to people about their experience with LG i've discovered so many people that have bought LG products that haven't lasted. I've just found out a friend has had to have their LG fridge fixed under warranty and it is not even a year old. He is so glad he paid extra for the extended warranty cos he reckons he will be needing it now.
Also, another friend has been told it will cost more to fix their LG television than to replace it and it is not long out of warranty.
Sure we hear bad things about different brands, but the majority of complaints I have heard are about LG electrical and mobile phones.

LG - never again | | | |

| | I have the LG Shine phone. The scroll button is the worst idea ever. Unless of course you want your phone to freak out all the time and constantly scroll up through your phonebook. The speed of the phone isn't the best either. But I do like the interface. | | | |
