I would love to try one of these as I understand they can be used in many different ways including baking as well as BBQ's. As they are expensive to buy, this would be a great way of trying the product before deciding whether or not to buy some for the kitchen and BBQ (which we use several times a week).

I hadn't heard about them - they sound great, and you are right, we often shy away from purchasing new things if they are expensive because we don't know what they are like and who wants to pay big money for a dud?

I used one for the BBQ for the first time on Australia Day. Was great - nothing stuck and the marinade mess just wiped right off ready for next time. Mine set me back about $18 from Bunnings.

We have had ours for about two years and it is SO great. It was a gift from my father-in-law as we do about 70% of our meat cooking on the BBQ. Very easy to clean up after use. And even after 2 years it is still in great shape.

I've seen these advertised on some TV show way back and I seem to remember seeing them in BBQ's Galore but it's good to hear of some people that have actually tried it.
We looked at them but the price made us squint because we had not heard any reviews on them.
