My daughter has VERY thick dark hair and until recently had never had head lice. She had them THREE times over the Summer and NOTHING would get rid of them until I found Wild Child's Quit Nits at the supermarket! Fantastic product, smells nice, easy to use and they are all gone - hopefully for good! Would recommend this to everyone! Good Luck!

I am dreading the day (if it happens) that my son brings them home.

Don't you hate them? With five children (four of whom are at school) nits are just a constant battle for me. I have tried just about everything known to man with limited success. They all pretty much work to begin with in that they do kill the lice, but it's the eggs you always have trouble with. I have found that vinegar is great for dissolving the 'glue' that sticks the eggs to the hair shaft. I might couple this up with the wool wash I think. Thanks heaps for that suggestion! Never heard it but willing to try just about anything lol.

i AM loving the Robi Comb Pro and it is WELL worth the $65! My daughter has VERY thick dark hair and if I brush it first to get rid of tangles, and then use the it, it is very effective! After getting head lice myself for the first time this year, I have been using it - it's excellent! You do have to keep checking hair - it's just part of school life I'm afraid. Every Sunday night I sit with my daughter after her bath (when here hair is dry) and comb it now to detect any. I put a movie on for her to watch and it's a bit easier as she gets impatient otherwise!

I just heard on Today Tonight that one of the best natural treatments is Thursday Plantations' Tea Tree head lice gel. Check out this link for info about it, and also a horror story about what happened to one child using a chemical based treatment.
