Got my new dryer last night in the post and used it this morning! it is great, even though I've only used it once my hair feels nice and silky - didn't bother with conditioner in the shower either this mornig which usually means I have a fluffy mess!! my husband was even interested in it, he spent time reading the book etc last night - must be technological enough to appeal!!

I had my last good hair drier for about 5 years. It was only $60 from target but it was great and lasted all that time - until it literally caught on fire and I had to run it downstairs and outside and get the fire extinguisher from my bf's car and put it out! I assumed that I could just go back to target and buy any old thing since the last one was fantastic but this was not the case. Every time I bought a new hair drier I'd check it out immediately i.e. shower and start to straighten it but each time it cut out so I'd immediately go and return it and change it for another one. After about 5 exchanges I gave up and bought one from my hair dresser (i.e. the same model he uses) so I knew it wouldn't cut out. I've had it for over two years now and have travelled over Europe with it. The only thing is that I can't use the high heat settings because it over dries my hair and it looks like a horse's tail. That's why I'm hoping to try one of these to fix the condition of my hair and see if it doesn't cut out after 10mins continuous use. Bare in mind it takes up to 40mins to do my hair and my hair drier is predominantly on for the duration.

It seems like its taking weeks and weeks to find out it if have been approved. Im so hopeful of trialling this product i jump on my computer as soon as i get home from work and prey the emails there saying i am lucky enough to try it!

But it never comes =o(

I'm losing faith. I got so excited... Even if i received one at a discounted price i couldnt afford it as im helping a sick friend out financially and i want something new and exciting for us to try.

If i miss out im going to bug my parents for one for christmas but thats like 4 months away. Heres hoping...

Hi all. Yes we are a bit behind on the approvals. We will be making a big push in the next few days to get through all the applications. We are sorry for the delay. Please be aware that we do know that we are later than we want to be with approvals and have a fix in place to speed things up. Thanks again for being a part of this new concept with us. Hang in there please

Excellent news William! We do appreciate the work you guys do. Dying to find out if I've been approved. I have a brilliant Sunbeam hairdryer already, but love the idea of one that nourishes as it dries. My hair takes forever to dry/straighten (I'm an old school person who has a straightener but prefers to blow dry straight). I have the classic long, fine but thick, wavy hair that actually goes into ringlets if I just let it dry without brushing or drying it. I think it would be wonderful to have neat wavy hair like they do on tv ads. The only way I can get neat hair is by straightening it ...

Thanks for the update, William. It was getting a bit depressing not seeing anything - either an approval/offer/rejection - in the mail. At least now we know the end is neigh.

On this occasion, I'm clearly the girl who's sitting by the phone waiting for the guy to call ;)

I just got accepted for the 50% off purchase.

I'm trying to work out what the difference is between the two models tho i.e. which one would be better for my situation. Any ideas besides the guarantee, speed settings and turbo boost?

Yeah, I think I'm going to go the same way considering there's only a $10 difference. However, it'll have to be next month tho as $800 for my car insurance just got lumped onto this month's CC bill haha

I've had the same problems as rushie as far as hairdryers go but I don't think all non salon hairdryers cut out - like jodels says Remington are good & they offer a warranty. The trick is not to buy a "cheap, travel type" hairdryer if you have long thick hair - of course the motor will overheat & it can be well over ten minutes before you get going again - bloody annoying when you're on a schedule & usually it happens more than once! Look for a bigger wattage in the hairdryer if you have longer, thicker hair - commonsense really.

I was hoping to be accepted to this program as I too have very long, thick & wavy hair which is a little unruly & could defnately be classed as dry & frizzy - especially after a blowdry, you know that halo of frizz that sits out about a half inch from your lovely straight hair?! Kind of ruins the effort put in with an hours blowdrying. However it seems I don't meet the criteria either - weird as you would think they would want to use people who could really USE the product. I too got the $20 cash back offer &, although appreciative, I agree with Jadelaide - I'm not going to purchase the product to review it, I will read the reviews & decide if I want to buy it then.

My hair drier arrived today - 5 working days after approval. Unfortunately I only washed my hair last night so I probably wont use the treatment capsules till the weekend. I tested it out briefly with the concentrator nozzle on my fringe and compared to everyone complaining about how heavy it was, it's actually LIGHTER than my salon issued drier ahaha! The power cord is indeed quite short as many have already reported, but I usually use an extension cable anyway so I can sit on the floor in front of a full length mirror to do my hair anyway - no way I'd be standing for 40 mins!

According to the manual I was supposed to get a pair of tweezer (for the treatment capsule) with it but I haven't. Did everyone else get their tweezers?
